Risk Is Necessary for Growth

Risks are opportunities for greatness, but only if you take them. Most people go through their entire lives avoiding risk because they want to stay comfortable. And if that’s you, then you need to understand this. You have to embrace and tackle new challenges if you want to grow and build a great life for yourself.

Now, I’m not saying that you need to go out and jump in front of a train without any consideration for the potential outcome. That will be just plain stupid. I’m talking about taking calculated risks.

Consider what you’re trying to accomplish, the work that it’s going to take, and the potential upsides and downsides. And if it makes sense, go for it.

Because here’s the truth. If you go through your life without taking any risks at all, you’ll always be stuck where you are right now, wondering what could have been.
